Beeswax is one of the five ingredients in our jar — alongside olive oil, honey, royal jelly, and propolis — and it does a very specific job.
What beeswax actually is
Worker bees secrete wax to build honeycomb; chemically, it’s a dense mix of natural esters and fatty alcohols. In cosmetics it’s prized as an occlusive: applied to skin, it forms a soft, flexible layer on the surface that slows moisture loss.
That’s the cosmetic science in one line: beeswax doesn’t add water to skin, it helps keep the water you have. Paired with olive oil and honey in our formula, it locks in moisture and leaves skin feeling soft, conditioned, and quietly glossy. It also gives the cream its signature balm texture — solid in the jar, melting the moment it meets warm skin.
One honest note: beeswax is a bee product. If you or your child may be allergic to bee products, consult your doctor before use.
